Save our Steel | Achub ein Dur

I met with steelworkers and trade union reps from Community, Unite the Union and GMB outside parliament to show my support for the steel industry in Cardiff South and Penarth, and across Wales and the UK.

In my constituency, steel plays a crucial part in the local economy, bringing in investment and sustaining jobs at the Celsa steelworks in Tremorfa.

We were also joined on Parliament Square by the Leader of the Opposition Keir Starmer, who assured the steelworkers and reps of Labour’s resolute support for our steel industry, our commitment to ensure investment in green steel and our recognition of the many challenges the industry faces.
